How Does It Work?

York Card from Explore York is now digital!

New and existing card holders have the option of using their York Card via the York Card website or having a physical card.

As a card holder you will be able to:

Buy or Renew your York Card

If you are a new customer, you can purchase a York Card online – simply click on any of the BUY CARD buttons to start your purchase.

Existing customers can login to access their account and renew their card via the Login to your York Card link at the top right-hand corner of the website. The username required will be the final 6 digits on your current York Card. The option to change this is available on the login page.

It is possible to purchase or renew a physical York Card at your local Explore library or Reading Cafe if you prefer. Please note the ‘Work in York’ Card is not currently available to purchase online – please visit an Explore library to purchase.

Access your Online Account

Once signed in you can enter and store your payment details for renewals. You will be prompted when your card is due to expire and can renew for another 12 months of fantastic discounts at the click of a button.
